Tasty treats make me warm

Not sure if you were in the coffee shop today but we were giving away some samples of our new xmas treats. Including chilli hot chocolate, mulled wine tea and homemade christmas cake... Didn't this go down well... Once the customers tried these products it was sell sell sell. Great christmas feeling. There is something so warming and comforting about a rich milky drink... Chilli hot chocolate! Even the sound of it makes you feel comforted!!

Around 12.15 pm the coffee shop was empty. We had just finished cleaning down from the breakfast run when the door opened. 3 minutes later the place was filled inside and out. Sausages and mash along with our home made burgers seemed to be the desired lunch of most people today!
Busy busy day!

Whats your favourite winter drink?.... Are you following us on twitter today?...

Fyi a lady set her coat of fire this afternoon.. Oh the dangers of tea lights!

Scrooge and sell out mince pies

Christmas has really hit the coffee shop this weekend. We sold out of my mince pies aswell as the delicious roast turkey. Its great seeing people get into the festive spirit so early..Although the xmas tunes have begun to slightly irritate me already.

What is your favourite festive tune? its been a tough mix between classic tunes, modern anthems and traditional tunes for our play list this year.

We had a very grumbly customer today who for now we shall call 'Scrooge' and was getting into a bit of a strop due to the busy atmosphere in what is normally a very calming, relaxing place to eat and drink, however everyone including my fantastic waitering staff were enjoying themselves. Seeing the place really come alive. 'Scrooge' did not take kindly to this and he stormed out, swearing and other gestures, this was fairly amusing to all my happy customers only to become even more comical when he/she re-entered only to remark that he had left his walking stick and could someone pass him it! red faced and red nosed like rudolph I think.

Christmas has hit Olivers Village Cafe.

Our first entry

I think the best thing to do is to introduce myself. 'Olivers Village Cafe.'
A local family run coffee shop in the heart of Belsize park. We pride ourselves on being unique, authentic and above all good at what we do!
We have been open for over 2 years and are constantly improving what we do and being more  creative. We offer home made food, fantastic coffee, local events. We support local artsists with our ever changing art exhibition and our toilet has become the talking point of Belsize Village.
The team is made up of an actor, a mum of two, a business school student, the most creative mum this side of NW3, several artists, a few very skilled cleaners and chefs who bring it all together!

Our blog is going to give you some insight into the mad and CREATIVE world that is our coffee shop!

Grande and Vente we DONT do.!
